Maidstone Hospital is part of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Following a death in hospital, the Bereavement Office works with the Medical Examiner to support families, explain the paperwork required, and liaise with funeral directors before the death is registered.

About
Deaths are registered by appointment once the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death has been completed by the Medical Examiner, or following authorisation from the Coroner where applicable. The registrar will also offer the Tell Us Once service to notify participating government departments.
