1. Farleigh Hospice – Circle Bereavement Service
This is probably the key local service to include. Farleigh Hospice provides bereavement support for people living in the Maldon, Chelmsford and Braintree areas. The Circle service offers support where bereavement is significantly affecting day-to-day life. Importantly, self-referrals are accepted.

2. Maldon Baptist Church – Bereavement Group
This is a really nice one for your directory because it's a local community-based support group, rather than a formal counselling service. Maldon District Connects lists a bereavement group meeting at Maldon Baptist Church on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.
Type: Bereavement support group
Location: Maldon Baptist Church
Suitable for: Anyone experiencing bereavement

3. Southminster Bereavement Group
This is slightly outside Maldon town but within Maldon District, so I'd definitely include it under the district directory rather than pretending everything has to be Maldon town itself.
It meets Tuesdays, 10am–12pm, at Christchurch URC Hall in Southminster. It's an informal drop-in group for people who have been bereaved.
Type: Informal bereavement support group
Location: Christchurch URC Hall, Southminster
When: Tuesdays, 10am–12pm

4. Cruse Bereavement Support – Essex
Cruse provides free bereavement support for adults, children and young people, including one-to-one support. Essex County Council lists Cruse as one of the organisations supporting bereaved people in the county.
There is currently a waiting list for the Essex service, so I'd put that information on your directory rather than simply listing it as immediately available.
