Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital is the main acute hospital serving Thanet. Following a death in hospital, the Bereavement Office supports families through the next steps, works with the Medical Examiner, and explains when the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death (MCCD) is available so the death can be registered.
