Hello, I'm Tracey Finch, the founder of The Funeral Companion.
Supporting people has always been at the heart of everything I've done.
Throughout my career I've worked in the funeral profession, supported consultant-led NHS clinics, and run my own successful administration company.
Although these roles were very different, they all shared one thing in common – helping people through important moments in their lives with kindness, patience and understanding.
Over the years I've developed strong organisational and administrative skills, but I've also learned that compassion is just as important as paperwork.
When someone dies, families are often faced with unfamiliar decisions, endless forms and a whirlwind of emotions.
Having experienced bereavement myself, I understand how overwhelming that can feel.
That's why I created The Funeral Companion.
My aim is to provide clear, honest and independent information that helps make those difficult days just a little easier.
Whether you're arranging a funeral, dealing with practical matters after a death, or simply looking for guidance,
II hope you'll find support, reassurance and answers here. You're not expected to know what to do when someone dies, and my hope is that The Funeral Companion will help you feel a little less alone as you take each step, at your own pace.
